Durham FC to groundshare at Consett AFC for 2024/25 season

Durham FC Corinthians have taken the difficult step to play their home games outside of the City of Durham for the 2024/25 season.

The club will be playing all of their first team home games at Belle Vue Stadium in Consett as we strive to achieve promotion to the Northern League.  Unfortunately the facilities at New Ferens Park mean that the club is unable to apply for promotion to the Northern League,  leading the club to make this reluctant move.

The club was founded with the aim of bringing football back to the City of Durham, and all options to remain in the City of Durham area were explored, but there was simply no viable alternative available.   We are extremely grateful to Consett FC and Frank Bell for their assistance and look forward to utilising the excellent facilities available at Belle Vue this coming season.

The club acknowledges the impact this will have on our supporters who are used to attending games at New Ferens Park, and we hope as many of you as possible will come to our games at Consett.  We would also like to extend an invitation to the football fans of the Consett area to come and take in some Durham FC games this season.

It is our intention to make this move a temporary one and we will be exploring all options to return to the City of Durham as soon as practicable, hopefully to New Ferens Park where we have played since our inception, and we will be looking to work with previous partners, elected officials and the football authorities to expedite our return.
